Biddy Ball
The Biddy Ball program is designed for children in pre-K (preschool) through second grade. The program consists of seven sessions that take place on Saturday mornings December through February. All sessions take place at Harold Martin’s gymnasium. Typically, the pre-K and kindergarten session is 9–10 am, the first grade session is 10–11 am, and the second grade is 11 am–12 pm.
Grades 3–6
For athletes in grades 3–6, HYSA participates in the Merrimack Valley Basketball League (MVBL). 3rd & 4th grade teams typically practice once or twice per week, and 5th & 6th grade teams usually practice two to three times per week. Games for both age groups are played on Saturdays.
Middle School
The Hopkinton Middle School sponsors middle school girls’ and boys’ teams. HYSA offers additional 7th & 8th grade teams for those players not selected for or not interested in playing on the Middle School teams. Additionally, players are allowed to play on both the middle school team and a HYSA team during the same season.
