Place the knob of the bat in the center of your daughter's chest and extend her arm out to the side; if her fingertips reach the end cap, it is the correct length.
Softball bat size is based on age, height, and weight. Typically, the range for 4–7 year olds is 24–26 inches; and 33–34 inches for 17+ players.

Softball gloves are generally larger than baseball gloves to accommodate the bigger ball. She will play multiple positions so a utility glove in the middle of her age range is a versatile choice.
Ages 7 & under: Look for gloves between 9 and 11 inches. At this age, specialized positions are rare, so a soft, easy-to-close, all-purpose glove is best.
Ages 8–10: 10 to 12 inches
Ages 11–13: 11.25 to 12.5 inches
